All praises to Allah, our Creator who bestows on us knowledge and frees us
from ignorance and darkness. Alhamdulillah, the Muslim community in Singapore has always shown a deep interest in strengthening our religious knowledge and always in pursuit of the spiritual guidance.

This quest for knowledge is in line with the first revelation to humanity which asks humankind to build a society that truly appreciates knowledge and a society attain success in this world and the hereafter.

Alhamdulillah, with Allah's guidance and blessings, the new programme, Adult Islamic Learning (ADIL), has been successfully developed as a platform specially catered for our Muslim community to access knowledge of Islam. With ADIL's philosophy that focuses on Islam, Iman, Ilmu and Ihsan, I hope we can reap the benefits of this programme, and propels us to become a Muslim of strong faith, a Muslim that holds dearly to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, and a Muslim who makes Rasulullah s.a.w. as an example in every facet of our lives.

Besides providing basic knowledge of Islam, ADIL also hopes to equip relevant life skills to our community, which will help them lead meaningful lives, in line with the teachings of Islam as shown by the examples of Rasulullah s.a.w.

May this programme be blessed by Allah s.w.t and bring meaningful impact on all of us such that it will able to successfully develop a Muslim community that is knowledgeable, strong in taqwa and balanced in all every facets of our lives. This is in line with the Quranic injunction that calls for Muslim to the bearers of justice, for that is closer to Taqwa.

“Be just, for that is closer to Taqwa” (Al-Maaidah: 8)
